Default got the 7290 to replace the 7100..and it is going back

I could not stand the sure type on my 7100 although the phone has superior quality and easy to use. I wanted the old Qwerty keyboard back.....

After 10 minutes of use on the 7290 I found the hum in the phone, the not so easy navigation compared to the 7100...and now I have to be determined to make the sure type work for me....

So after all the aggrevation of the sure type and the high hopes of the 7290...the 7290 is a piece of junk ....and we are back where we started....

Wow... such aggression! I'm not sure what hum you noticed, but I don't have one in my 7290. As for the navigation, well, not much you can do about that I suppose.

Good luck with the 7100... lots of people like it!

Said it once - Ill say it again. Do not look at the screen while using suretype. Finish what you are typing and then go back and correct. Since it learns you only ever have to do this once.

Default 7290 V 7100v

I got my 7100v in September and loved it despite a few teething problems which I guess were due to having very early models. By December I was onto my 4th unit and that one was great. But, I get serious gadget bordom and decided to go for the 7290 a couple of weeks ago.

I love the 7290 just as much. Bigger screen, excellent keyboard and all the apps seem even better. The only thing that takes a bit of getting used to is the phone. Not quite as simple to use as the 7100v. But hey, lot's of pro's, so I'm happy.
