I have a problem with my BB 8703e on the Sprint Network.
I have been using TeleNav for a month now and sometime, for no reason, the software freezes and my device ends up restarting. Right in the middle of a trip. I've tried changing from 3-D to 2-D and this seems to help but I haven't tested it long enough in this view.
Phillip, I have not had the lockup problem, but I have had trouble finding a signal at times. Like, forever....it never finds it. If I reboot, it finds it right away, so I know it is able to find one. Strange, but other than that occasionally, it works great.
Hello Philip, no problems here either using a Sprint 8703e and the latest version of Telenav. Have you already tried uninstalling and reinstalling? I've also ran into issues where I couldn't get a signal but it was mainly because I was indoors in a thick concrete building. I was able to get signal, just nothing strong enough for GPS. Good luck!
Gina from TeleNav wrote back on their forums quoting:
"Research in Motion and Sprint are aware that a 7130e or 8703e BlackBerry may infrequently reboot while running GPS applications. This issue affects other applications as well and is not limited to TeleNav. RIM and Sprint are curently aware of the issue and are pursuing a remedy for it. They have not given an ETA on the resolution of this issue."
So, I guess I just have to wait. I did reload the software so I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed.
