Ok for those that are curious. I've using my plantronics 510 headset since this upgrade to Tmo OS. And so far zero disconnects. It has been my best experience with a BT headset since I've been using a BB. Actually I had pretty much given up using my BT because I got sick of all the disconnect/connect issues.(who wants to hear that all day!!!) but solid so far.

Anyone else have feedback?

My friend just got a white 8100 from tmobile yesterday and it came with the 103 software already installed.
The rep did tell me that only some people were having dropped calles in some markets. so the removed the update from there site till they fix it. they are saying that if you are having problems with the 103 to use the version that is currently available to download off there site

So the consensus is to go back to .64? I really want the option to "delete from server and handheld" back again, but I'm not hearing from others that they don't have the option anymore with .103. I don't have a dropped call issue (yet).

...which makes it so weird. There are a lot of knowledgeable people on BBF who you know aren't screwing up the upgrade, yet they have issues and you don't. It's gotta be wreaking havoc on the RIM QA staff trying to pin it all down, I surely don't envy them.

Welcome ReneRabbitt,
You didn't miss the boat. Multitap has been "glitchy" since the first release of 4.2.1. It's actually better now than it was back with the first4.2.1.66 release. I rarely ever use multitap so it's not an issue for me.

Hmmm. All just really odd. The upgrade is working beautifully for me and it's been since the release date. Had a minor problem getting the DM to recognize that it was an update and install it though.

I've never had a blue tooth issue and have had the plantronics 510 all along. I no longer experience the "silence" during the first few seconds of a call and am receiving picture mms and picture mail left and right. They used to be blank. One dropped call since the install. Can't complain here...so far.

I recently installed the .103 update and so far haven't dropped any calls. I've been dropping calls/dead silence since the last 2 or 3 updates. Hopefully this lasts.

Can't fully load any wikipedia pages in the blackberry browser. Browser just hangs when it's almost there instead of timing out, and won't follow any links. Every update seems to make these types of browser bugs worse.

Although I use a bluetooth connection and not a USB connection

How is bluetooth tethering working for you on the new patch? I had to backgrade to the TIM version to make BT tether work. I could not get it to work on either of the official TMO releases....

Just came back from vacation and upgrade to the Czech version 103. I really excited to hear of the new update but could not upgrade until I got home. Every app is working so far. I am going to test phone functions, BT GPS and BT headset tonight.

i don't understand why soo many people are reporting soo many problems whenever they update to a new OS. i've updated mine 3 times with 3 different flavors, and i never had a problem with either the phone or the update process.

only 3rd party app that gave me problems was opera mini 3. when deleted, my phone functions absolutely flawless.

Well your guess is as good as mine...but it's happening to a lot of folks. I've gone through all these upgrades below and a couple have caused issues. Others are flawless.

4.2.0.51 - Rogers
4.2.0.67 - Telefonica
4.2.0.69 - Cingular
4.2.0.71 - Cingular
4.2.1.66 - TIM
4.2.1.66 - Telstra
4.2.1.94 - Rogers
4.2.1.96 - ATT
4.2.1.101 - A1/mobilkom Austria?
