I searched the forum best i could and didn't see anything regarding this, it may also be a no brainer and i just don't know. Is there a reason that i am unable to xfer files (pics, other) to my BB from my computer or other device via bluetooth? it always says the remote device doesn't support. I checked the manual but didn't see anything saying it could or couldn't. Does bluetooth file xfer only work for contacts? am i doing something wrong? if it isn't set up to work for things other than contacts can it be made to work?

BlackBerry devices do not support the Bluetooth OBEX transfer/exchange profile and thus they cannot transfer files from one phone to another. You can do it with a computer but I really haven't tried to figure it out. Most likely you will need to use the desktop application.

You can transfer files from your computer to your Blackberry and vice versa using Bluetooth, I do it all the time with my 8300 and 8830.

Make sure you go into MEDIA on your Blackberry, hit the menu button and scroll down to RECEIVE USING BLUETOOTH, then send the file from your computer, just make sure that you pair them together first. Good luck.
