I have a 7250 that I bought off Ebay. I am with verizon but not on the data plan, we are just using them as phones and PDAs. My problem is that no matter how many wipes and resets I do, the phone will, on its own, turn on the back light, go to the phone screen and begin putting up # and * and I then have no control over the phone. Pulling the battery resents it and it works for a while (6 Hours +) then repeats. I took the phone to the Verizon service reps and they tell me that the hardware is good, it has to be a software issue. I'm running 4.10.353 (Platform 2.2.0.159)
Any help or ideas are welcome.
(My IT guy bought the same model phone and his is running perfectly, but he didn't update his handheld to 4.1 and I did.)

I'm not sure if this would do it, but are you sure you put your providers software on? I have a 7250 on Alltel and its running fine on 4.1.

Very positive, replaced three times so far with fresh downloads. I might have fixed it. waiting to see.

I'm about to by a 7250 on ebay to use it only as a phone and PDA but Verizon Costumer service told me over the phone that I need to get the data plan to be able to activate the phone. Is that true? How you activate yours?

I haven't been on this board for a while. We activated our phones with the data plan on a per use basis. DO NOT USE THE DATA PLAN.
I'm sorry to say my BB has some type of hardware issue so I am getting another.
