From my T-Mo rep regarding a question I asked on the launch of the Curve:

"Is your location wifi enabled? The reason I ask is that our newest BB that will launch next month will have the wifi capability and now you’ve got a way to provide full coverage at your buildings while calls are made at no charge to your voice plan."

T-Mobile is launching the 8320 in late september with wifi and hotspot @home support. This is different from the 8310 with GPS support that is the basis for this thread.

-It is the same as the 8300 + GPS + a dark grey paintjob.

-Who knows.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8800/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

I'm waiting for this too. Been pretty quiet considering it's Sept 11th!

From The Boy Genius Report:

Curve 8310 will be released (on AT&T) Oct. 4, in titanium and red colors.

Finally!

For the record, antman84 had the 8820 launch date right in a sea of incorrect rumors. Props. Makes me feel better about that 10/4 date for the 8310 (though I may not be able to hold out now that the 8820 is coming for sure tomorrow).

The 8310, red version, will be my next purchase. My wife will be introduced to the world of blackberries. And I will be jealous with my old 8703e.

Man, don't you guys care about the service? AT&T is consistent about one thing more than any of the other carriers from what I've seen: consistently sucky support from inept XBM staff and a corporate CS structure that resembles more Jell-O than an org chart.

And how can you not give H@H a shot? Advantage T-mobile, no?

It would help if Tmobile was in North Carolina. Sun com here but Tmobile bought them out and by the end of 2008 we will have it here. Everyone has their own opinions, have had no problems with at&t but thanks for your concern.

Not to mention the fact that t-mobile has consistently had much better call quality nationwide for several years now. AT&T might have "bars" but who cares if the call sounds like crap.

With the exception of the carolinas (due to liscensing issues) T-mobile's coverage has been suprisingly good.

I have no regrets about switching from Sprint and I am glad I will be able to use the subject of this thread, the 8310! Once mine arrives, hopefully today!
