Default Bluetooth Sync Question

Please Login to Remove!

My 7130e broke, so Sprint replaced it with an 8703.

I am trying to pair my Motorola bluetooth earpiece to my new BB, and I keep getting the "no new devices found" message. Bluetooth is enabled on my phone, and my earpiece is charged and on while while trying to pair.

Did this earpiece need to be deactivated or something, from my old phone? When I got it, the Sprint rep. did it for me, so I don't know excatly what he did.

Thank you in advance for any help.

Is the bluetooth earpiece in "pairing" mode? For my Motorola H700, I had to hold the call button down for a couple of seconds to put it in to pairing mode. After that, my blackberry sees it.

I've tried holding down the answer/call button while trying to pair to no success. It makes sense that there would be a "pairing mode", I just don't know how to activate it.

It is a Motorola bluetooth earpiece, with the small boom that flips out, an up and down volume button (one on top and bottom), and the large call button on the outside, if any of that helps.

Just looked at Motorola's website, and it is the H700. Can you please tell me how to turn on the pairing mode. Haven't found any instructions on the website

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry 8700g: BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

For my unit I have the ear mic flipped in (so it appears to be in sleep mode) then I press the call button until a purple flashing light come on. Then I flip the ear piece out and try to pair. Check the directions or the Motorola web site for the proper instructions for yours.

Yes, that's working now, but it's asking me for a pass key. I've had this for some tim enow and don't have any of the literature that came with. I'll email Motorola, maybe they can help.

Unless you have any suggestions, thank you for your help.
