Default Thinking of 8310

Please Login to Remove!

Hello, I am trying to make up my mind as to which BlackBerry I will get next. I use GPS a lot and was going to get the 8820. My parents recently both got 8820's, and I got a chance to play with them while I was at their house this weekend. I fell in love with the unit, especially the screen size because I am currently using the BB Pearl.

My question, is how does the screen size of the 8300 line compare to the ones of the 8800 line? Are they basically the same size? I have seen comparison pictures side by side, but it is hard to tell the difference. Can someone that has experience with BOTH units, compare the screens? I want to know about viewing size, brightness, color saturation, etc ....

My perception (true or untrue) is that the 8300 is sleeker and smaller than the 8800.

I believe the 8800 is longer than the 8300.

Yes I know the 8830 itself is smaller than the 8800. What I was wondering was the screen itself .. how does the SCREEN compare to the 8800?

Yes they both have the same resolution, 320x240. That was already answered above.

But is the physical size the same? Just curious.

I believe the 8700, 8800, and 8300 have the same exact size screen and resolution.

I had an 8800 and currently have a 8310. The 8310 is a bit smaller and a slick device I would get the 8310

THANK YOU!! I can't believe so many people don't know the difference between screen size and resolution. Screen size is the size of the screen (physically) in inches. Screen resolution is the number of pixels on the display both horizontally and vertically.

I had conflicting information with my friends here. One says the screen size is exactly like the 8800, and another said what you said ... that it is just a tad bit smaller.

The screen size are the same I believe (320x240), but the curves keyboard is much better compare to 8800's in my opinion.

I have a 8830 and a 8320, as far as I can tell the screen size and resolution are identical.
