Default Blackberry Curve 8320 and Toyota Bluetooth

Please Login to Remove!

So i made the switch from Verizon to Tmobile so I could buy the Curve, and I finally thought that I would be able to sync my address book with my Toyota Camry without any problems via bluetooth, but I think I hit a snag. Apparently the bluetooth system is only capable of accepting one phonebook entry at a time while the BB only has the option of sending the entire phonebook at one time. This results only the first entry being successfully sent (which is 411).

Is there anyway around this, or can anyone verify that my suspicion is correct?

Unlike before, when i receive an incoming phone call, it would display the number. Now it just displays "No Name" which is also annoying.

I have a RAV4 with the same issue. I found out, while reading the owners manual, that the system will only accept 20 entries. I believe it just takes the first entry and then errors out realizing that your attempting to sync more than 20 entries. I even tried syncing just a particle category (Personal) which had less than 20 entries and it still errors out. So I feel your pain and I just manually added in the entries.

Okay, I don't know if this will help or will be anything close, but I have a Pearl (TMo) and a 2007 Toyota Prius.

This is how I did it (and it did transfer all numbers-like 100ish):

After connecting w/bluetooth:

In your car:
Press phone
Press settings
Press phone/address book
Press transfer phone book
Pick Group x (I picked group 1)

with your BB, go into Options (but I know that Bluetooth is not under Options, but elsewhere in the Menu on a Curve):
Press Bluetooth
Press Handsfree
Press Transfer Address Book

And it does take 3 seconds!

I will give this a try tonight.
