Default BES - Multiple email

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

I have an 8300 Curev on a BES server that handles my work email etc.

Is it possible to set the device up so itll also grab email from another server (POP, IMAP, OWA) for instance.

I realise I can have only one Enterprise address, but can I set it up for more.

I cant see how to on the device however.

Gavin.

Yes, up to 10. The BlackBerryFAQ.com site will help you answer questions like this.

Hi,

Thanks for the link, however the only section for adding addresses is for BIS not for the BES that I use.

Can you pin point where I need to be looking please.

Wirelessly posted (SunCom 8300: BlackBerry8300/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/164)

Yes, that's what you need. 1 BES account, 10 BIS accounts. That's all you get.

OK - lets start from the FAQ:

"" How do I add email addresses?
From the device:
1. Click on the Setup Internet E-mail Icon ""

I dont have this icon?

All I have is whats been set up via the BES server.

Go to your carriers BIS portal on the web and set up your BIS email accounts through it.
For O2, your BIS portal is here:
https://bis.eu.blackberry.com/html?brand=o2mailuk

Please remember, depending on your BES setup, you may not be able to get BIS working properly at all on your device.
See 1.1 here:

OK - I dont have an account but when trying to set up a new one I get the following - "Your account is not accessable via HTML browser, please use your device to access BIS"

I set up the BES server and there are no policies in place bar what the installs do, and the fact that I have forecd device locking and passwords.

I'm making the assumption that your BES is working properly. If you have neither access to BIS setup on your device nor via the internet, you'll need to call your provider's customer service line and work through the issue with them.

ADDED QUESTION: Are you sure all your icons are showing and that the email setup icon isn't hidden on your device??

The email setup icon is more than likely hidden or inside another folder on the home screen. It would be best to access BIS from the device to check before messing with the server or calling tech support.

The BES admin may have disabled BIS accounts from being added to the device. Just a thought.
