How is the "soapy water" used in this process? I am terrified of getting any type of moisture anywhere near my new blackberry!

BSE provides pretty detailed application instructions. A little bit of soapy water and shower steam are involved, but my iPod and my 8700 made it through without any trouble.

I ordered the full body skin from BSE. Does anybody know which belt clip holster works with it? Is it thin enough to use a regular belt holster or do I need the Crystal/rubberized belt clip holster?

Whats the difference between the BSE and Invisible Shield?

Are they the same thing?

Which is better if they are not?

Thanks

got mine a few days ago,
Took me about 1/2 to put it on, as the skin did not align as I wanted.

But when it was done, it looks great,

I took the plunge, and the results look great. Be careful to flick off any excess water, however, as you do not want a drop to end up in the wrong place.

I just ordered from BSE. I hope my wife does not throw it out thinking it is PORN. She does watch Oprah (which gives her tons of crappy ideas about men).

Having used both the InvisibleShield and the BSE products (screen protectors, not full skins) I can testify that they are almost 100% the same product.

The only real difference is that the InvisibleShield comes with a cool spray bottle filled with a wetting "solution" that is sprayed on the pieces (and your fingers to avoid fingerprints)...and a very neat plastic squeegie (sp?) that aids in pressing out air bubbles and forcing excess liquid out from under the film. And, this product comes packaged in a snazzy shrink-wrapped package that would look at home in any retail store.

The BSE product comes with no spray bottle, no squeegie & packaged in a plain mailing envelope. It gives you detailed instructions for installation...and they work. I guess BSE figures that they can cut the costs by a more casual approach to packaging.

Hmmmm... I guess we need to add Bodyguardz to the mix also.

BodyGuardz - Scratch-Proof Transparent Protective Skins for BlackBerry Curve / 8300

I'd get any of the above it it prevents the dust under the screen problem.

Thanks,
eagle

I have used a BestSkinEver skin for BB8800, if applied correctly, the skin is amazing and last forever

I installed BSE about a month ago. I did put on all the pieces, and I am glad that I did. I dropped my Curve for the first time two days ago. It landed on a corner, and the pain-in-the-butt side strip took the brunt of it! I am glad I put the side ones on! I found that, after installing, I was less nervous about dropping the phone (and maybe a little less careful...).

The only thing I don't like about the skin is that I can feel the edges just a bit on my ears when talking on the phone. The pieces are well aligned, but there are still some ridges. Having said that, I love having the skin on there.

some sample pics now that I have my BSE installed - note that there is a fairly pronounced orange peel effect, so if that sort of thing bothers you, you may want to look elsewhere for protection. Personally, I love the skin.

edit - no, I haven't been receiving mail from the White House... just an envelope that the phone happened to be on at the time of the photos. My cousin is an intern

also, to be clear - I have the Best Skin Ever only covering my screen, while a Blackberry-brand white skin covers the body

Anyone had any yellowing issues with their BSE skins? I was reading around different sites and some people were having these issues, which made me get the Bodyguardz instead.
