I just updated my BB Pearl with the latest software and it deleted my BB weather and beyond 411 and BBtoday. I followed all the advice and everything seems to be working good except for the BBWeather. I entered in my zip code but the button freezes and wont let me select OK. I just can't seem to get it to work. Any tips?

Default Done It All (open Tunnel Error) Pls Help

Here is what you need to do in order to get BBWeather working on the 8100 / 8800: (this is only need at 1st start and will work fine after)

1. Click on BBWeather to open the application

2. You will get error that says: no weather profiles

3. Click on the trackball and select ok. do not click on the menu button

4. Click the trackball again and it will bring you to the menu

5. Select Options and add a weather profile [the location ID is your zip code]

6. If you are on BIS make sure you check the box to 'disable MDS

I have tried all of that and I still can't get it to work. I read this whole thread and tried all the options and it says open tunnel failure. I tried using my zip code and I even tried the zip code ID and still no luck. And I disabled my MDS Proxy and still doesn't work. Any other suggestions?

Wirelessly posted (Verizon 8830: BlackBerry8830/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

I do have PD which I don't use. I just instaled BB Today which is a nice program. With the newer 8xxx models out, what would justify the need for BB Light for those users?

Thanks John Clark. That did the trick! Is there a way to fix and change my location in BB Today, it currently says Texas.

Can't speak for anyone else but I've got a Bury cradle for my 8703 and would like the light on all the time when its docked and being charged.

When it says "no Profiles" simply click the wheel and select add profile. Then add profiles using your zip code for the location ID.

Good luck.

I just upgraded to OS 4.2. I have used BBLight before this with no problems; however, I have activated the program and still can't get the light to stay on indefinitely. I forget the exact settings that I had on it previously, but I basically had the light on continuously as long as it was out of the holster. I want that again. Any ideas?

If anyone uses BBLight, especially if you have the light on continuously out of the holster, please let me know your settings because I cannot get the light to stay on for longer than 3-4 seconds. I've tried many different settings, and included dropped the app and reinstalled it, with no luck. I do have it activated. It worked just fine on OS 4.1.
