Hi all,
Hope some one can help me with this little problem.
I have a Pearl 8100 and an Optus account in OZ.
When I purchased the phone it was obviously set up with another carrier Telstra. I successfully setup all my needs with browsers, email, outlook and several other 3rd party apps, but have noticed that the logo on the main screen shows as a Telstra image and the type under is Optus Zoo?.
How can I change the Telstra logo to display as the Optus logo??.
Can't seem to get any help from Optus as they say it was originally purchased and setup through Telstra network.
Surely there must be someway to change it?
I have tried and upgrade of device hardware from Optus with neg result.

Hope someone can help.

Sorry it is not changeable!

It is built into the phone and as of yet there is no way to change it

But how does the logo get there in the first place?
Does Blackberry supply X number of phones to a carrier and burn the rom on all the phones?.
I assumed that if it was placed there after original phone supplied you would be able to change or delete it somehow.

Yes, it is burned into the ROM. You can't change it.

It is not a part of the OS, so even if you use an OS from a different vendor, that splash vendor screen remains the same.
