I have been a Palm user and my company just switched me over to a Pearl. We are on the Enterprise system and they had everything set up for me when I got the Pearl, so I get my Email and my Outlook meetings are all updated. IT told me not to install the Blackberry software on my laptop. I am guessing that they just don't want anyone to mess things up.

Can I install the software without messing up my existing settings? I don want to go back to IT and tell them I installed it when they said not to and now my phone doesn't work. That wouldn't be good.

Any help would be appreciated.

They told you that because it's easy to mess up your email settings if it's not installed properly. If they told you not to install it then you're probably best not to install it.

I can give you a How To but if it's not done right, you will be having the problem above that you didn't want to have.
