Default Reboot after Recharge

Please Login to Remove!

Hello All,

I just recently got a pearl from AT&T. i have noticed that many times after I charge the blackberry and start up the phone that it doesnt want to connect to the internet and at times the phone doesnt work. I have to do a hard boot after which time it is very fast.

Has anyone else had this issue? If so, what did you do to get around this?

I am very curious to get around this hard booting issue but I hear that its very common with blackberries.

Thanks all,
Gmax

A hard reboot (battery pull) is normally required for reconnection to your EDGE signal. As a matter of fact, it is recommended by RIM.

Don't turn your BB off to charge.

Wow, i never knew this. AT&T actually state that it is a good thing to pull the battery as does RIM?

I should also never shut my phone off when charging?

If thats the case and I leave it on, after a recharge, should i pull the battery still?

Thanks for the info.

no, you don't need and shouldn't need to pull your battery after recharge.
I don't know what AT&T states, they don't make the BlackBerry.

You could look in the Aftermarket software section for an application called SoftReset for the 8100, does the same or similar thing.
