Desktop Redirector Question

Okay so I have updated my BB OS and Desktop Manager and got the Redirector. My status is running fine and everything but where do I read the e-mails that it re-directs from my laptop outlook onto my blackberry? And if I write an e-mail from my blackberry then reconnect it to my laptop will it send it through the laptops wifi??
