Sounds like you answered your own question. I asked one of my co-workers about this yesterday and he confirmed that there is only 1 icon. I think you can go into your settings and choose which is your default browser.

What would the unified browser auto sync with? IE bookmarks?

I'm having problems with CICAL operation. Invites, etc. don't work as they should on the 4.2.1.106 OS.
I want to wipe the BB and reload everything. How do I do that without losing what I have???

Before you do that, did you try resending the service books? That's what was needed on mine before ICAL support worked properly.

Yes, and I also fixed the issue of the Internet (not the BlackBerry) browser not working. I called my service provider and had them resend their Service Books. Now the browser works the way it is intended, in a way that it automatically detects what site I'm going to, i.e. a site behind my company's firewall or a site on the Internet and then uses the appropriate browser. It works well.

Wiping will "wipe" your BB clean of all data, Enterprise Activation status included.

For whatever reason, BlackBerry Maps does not always upgrade during the initial installation if it had been previously been installed. Have you accepted the upgrade?

4.1 works smoothy for me. It sounds like there are glitches in 4.2 (the unlock glitch would drive me nuts).
Are there any KILLER features in 4.2 that I just gotta have?

Depends. Calendar invite/accept is one I like. Works with Lotus Note and Outlook but not with Google/Hotmail online calendars.

I've noticed an enormous delay when attempting to insert a symbol while texting. Has anyone else experienced this?

Is there a way to silence the tone portion of your alerts after you receive a email or text message? On 4.1 I was able to do this by scrolling the trackwheel, but when I do this now on 4.2, the tone just keeps playing.
I am loving the OS 4.2 upgrade, so far, I haven't had any other issues besides the small quirk mentioned above.

Ok, so I was in the middle of upgrading to 4.2 when my PC decided to be stupid and restart itself...I was watching TV, and turned around to see it booting back up. My Blackberry was on an whitescreen with the hourglass. Several pulls of the battery later, it finally moved on to a new hourglass, and the Desktop Manager started asking for the PIN, so I let it sit. Then, the Blackberry went through the setup screens, which I followed. Got in, and found most of my 3rd party apps on it...however, NO CONTACTS OR MESSAGES OF ANY KIND. My PC must have restarted while loading 3rd party apps, but before restoring data...so...is there any way to find the backup on the PC and restore my data?
PLEASE HELP!!!

Welcome to the forums.
Yes, your loader process should have created a backup called "loaderbackup-(2007-11-12).ipd" Search for it on your computer. Then use the restore feature in Desktop Manager to restore it to the BB.

Couldn't find it...it didn't find anything with loaderbackup in the file name, nor anything with the .ipd extension...

When you started the upgrade process it should have taken you to a screen where it asked if you wanted to backup and restore your data. It's usually checked by default. Did you change it?
