I bought a blackberry off of ebay and have successfully activated it to my phone number etc. The problem is that I still receive the emails from the sellers account. What do I need to do to get this off and switch to my account. This is very frustrating. Thanks for the help

It amazes me how people don't care that their email is still being sent to a device that they sell (unless it wasn't their device to begin with...)

Anyway, you can remove the service books in Options >Advanced Options >Service Book for that account. However, it could be tricky to reassign that pin to your account since it's still assigned to another user. You'll have to check with your carrier or contact the last owner to get the pin removed from their account.

What under the Service Book do I deactivate. I'm new to this thing and don't want to screw anything up. Thanks for the help

you really have to contact the guy who sold you the BB; don't you think you deserve the (tech) "support" that comes with every purchase?

once the PIN's released from the old acct (carrier), you can then set it up for yours ?
