Default Two 8830's - Swapping SIM's

Please Login to Remove!

I am technology challenged. I have two 8830's, #1 is newer unit with Sprint service, #2 is a beat up unit last used with Verizon. My company is in the process of porting my phone number from #1 to #2. Verizon will be my service when all done. When that is complete, can I simply move the SIM from #2 to the nicer #1 and all be fine?

Thanks.

The 8830 do have SIMs, since they are World Phones.

Verizon will have to allow your Sprint device on their network. In the past they have not been willing to do that. They did just agree to open up their network in the future, but you will have to check with them about whether they will allow your (newer) Sprint 8830 on their network.

If you get Verizon to add your Sprint BB, please post back. I'd like to know if they really are allowing this as they have said.

Nothing is stored on the sim... It wont do any good.. CDMA phones need an ESN swap.. So no point in swapping sims unless you plan on going out of the country then you need the sim card for the networks phone you are going to use overseas if you plan on paying for verizon overseas coverage.
