Wink Blackberry 8100 Or 8120?

Please Login to Remove!

Hello Everybody!

Wondering if you could help me. Have been looking to get a Blackberry for a long time, and finally i think the time has arisen. Wouldn't it be easy if every phone was in every colour and on every network huh?

So, i am going to get it on Orange. Yet the question is, do i get the Blackberry pearl 8100 in the White/Black (the two colours i'd really prefer to have) or the Blackberry pearl 8120 in Red/TItanium. Will the differences between the two phones really be a good enough reason for me to get the newer version in a colour i'm not particularly keen on?

I know the differences between the two models are the Wifi etc, but if anyone has any recommendations about which of the two you think i should get - or anywhere i get a black/white on orange, then i'd be very appreciative.

Also, does anyone know which UK carriers have got the Blackberry Pearl 8120 in White and Black? Or do they even exist?

Similarly, I only have a hotmail account, and understand the problems with these - does anyone know if Orange can provide you with an email account for your blackberry?

Look forward to hearing from you!

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8800/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

It is my understanding that every BB gets its own addres example mine is xxxxxx@att.blackberry.net and I hav TMO which is XXXX@tmo.blackberry.net

Find out which bb has the features yoiu desire then pick. You can always buy an after market housing to change the color www.cnnmcn is a good place to look or a DIY paintjob

Louise, welcome to the Forums.

You seem to be updated on all the issues. The only difference between those two models is WiFi, as you stated. Which is on which carrier, you should be able to determine from their websites.

Likewise, yes, you will be able to create an Orange BB address--however I would not. The BB addresses get spammed beyond controllable. If I were you, I would create a Gmail address and forward your hotmail to gmail, as Gmail integrates very nicely with the BB and is lock-tight on spam controls.
