I've been trying to use my Pearl to watch youtube at m.youtube.com, but it doesn't seem to work. I've heard that this functionality was supposed to work with the new Pearl on CDMA...

Does anyone else on either Bell or Telus see this problem?

I was kinda hoping that I'd be able to utilize EVDO with video streaming.

I don't think you can stream Youtube to the pearl. Tinytube you can, it's made for smartphones.

I was using the 8130 on Verizon and was able to watch videos on it. What software version are you on?

I have trouble with my 8320 on T-Mobile. I get "A problem occurred trying to render the page."

From all the BBs I've tested, Youtube will only work on OS 4.3 and above.

I'm on the new telus pearl and it does have software 4.3...strange.
I remember reading somewhere that i should be able to watch youtube. I checked the site that i'm going to and it is indeed the m.youtube.com

You can also try blueapple.mobi for videos. Just type that in your search.

Blue apple is probably the best so far. My only issue is that when I download a video of like more than 5 min long, it won't play it. I have to download in sections. Anybody else have that prob?

Hmm...I get either a blank screen and no sound, or blank screen and sound, when I try to play back a video w/out downloading it. Anyone streaming from blueapple successfully on a Pearl 8130?

FYI: There is a known issue if you have Audio Boost turned on in the Media Player options...that can/will cause problems w/video streaming.

Exactly what I'm seeing as well on my Telus 8130. At least I'm not getting the "An error occurred attempting to play media" message like I was from m.youtube.com
