You cant do anything. I have an 8320. Was on the $60 plan that enables TCP, I could turn EDGE off, use wifi only, and surf the web. Changed to their $15 BIS only plan which does not enable TCP, I turned EDGE off, tried using wifi only, and cant do anything AT ALL. No 3rd party apps, no Wifi browser, NOTHING.
Apparently the networking stack checks with the Roger's APN servers regardless of where the connection is coming from, and denies access prior to data / request reaching its final destination.
If someone can prove me wrong, please do. I wanna keep this thing, but Rogers is just pissing me off with their BS data plans.
