Default Installing 2 OSs one computer

Please Login to Remove!

Wife has my older 8700, and she can't hear the ringing using ver 4.2, so I need to downgrade the OS. We can't use Vista and 4.1 (known incompatibilities).
My computer has XP, but I already have my Curve installed.
How can I get her ver 4.1 on my computer without destroying my settings for the Curve?

As long as you don't let her 8700 pick up the email profile for your Curve it won't make any difference. I load software to all kinds of BB's on my one computer.

What I'm planning on doing for my wife's new blackberry (Christmas) is setting everything up in a profile for her in XP. Interesting thing is that Outlook automatically came up as if a new user when I started it in her profile. Very cool...... Anyway, so she will do syncs, backup's, software installs, etc. in XP in her profile. That's my plan, anyway. Still have to do it.

If the only problem you are having is with the ring volume, you can edit the audio file in free programs such as "Audacity" and just increase the volume to a level you can hear. It takes about a minute or so for each file, but it works.

Load the ringtones from the BB to the PC using the DM, edit, save, load back on to BB from PC using DM.

This is the fix that I have done for the low volume....
