Sorry, I should have said new charger. RIM has 2 now. The big, expensive one, and the charging pod which goes for about $25-$30. I'd originally posted a thread here, but it was exiled to the hardware section. Here's that thread:

Ah... interesting find. Might have to check that out if it can be used with a Seidio case on the phone. Anyone know?

The pinstack thread has some pictures where the guy was trying to show enough angles of it so someone else could figure it out. My guess is it may take a Dremel rotary tool to get it to fit right.

Once I get mine, I could try mocking up some box on the back to check though.

Yeah... just looking at those. Debating on taking off the Seidio case as Seidio doesn't seem to be ready to release their own version of the charging stand (even though they indicated it would be available 12/15).

I gave up on Seidio and ordered two of the OEM ones that monkeypaw mentioned earlier since I don't use an addon case. (Thanks for the info monkeypaw)

If I like them, I'm going to order two more.

It's a shame that Seidio can't even stop in and say there are delays or something. They ignored my post asking for an ETA in the previous thread they mentioned the charger in. They ignored my private message I sent before they created this post asking for more info and it has now two weeks beyond their 12/15 date and almost a full month since they created this thread.

Agreed. I'm going to ditch the Seidio case and get this charging stand instead of waiting for the Seidio version to come out.

There's a seller from NY who had about 5 of them for sale on eBay. Ended up at around $16.00 delivered (I was the only bidder ). I just got mine today .... was brand new and factory sealed. Sellers name was phone_gear_shop.

I apologize for not getting back to you, but I've been on vacation with my family. Our marketing department handles the launches and I volunteer to help with questions. We did have a delay on the charging cradle, but expect to begin shipping next week. Sorry for any inconviniences.

Thanks,

Thanks,
Thanks for the update. Obviously too late for me as I already received my OEM cradles, but I think that is all most people wanted and for those that need a cradle that can charge their curve with the case on it gives them hope.

As I mentioned, I received my OEM cradles, and they work very well. I would call them a stand more than a cradle, since only the bottom of the curve sits in it (which I prefer), proping it upright where the big cradle unit RIM makes is more of a real cradle with a full back, etc.

I'm very happy I got the OEM units, but I'm sure Seidio's will be nice as well, and now people have more information to make a good decision for themselves.

Thanks,
Are we thinking this is still on schedule to be available this week?

Thanks

I was told by customer service that this item will not be available till the end of the month or the beginning of Feb.

I sure hope it's more sooner than later....

Man... I haven't checked this Site in 12 days, and the cradle is pushed back again! Way to go...

I'll check on this again and see if I can get an updated ETA.

Thanks
