Who said I replaced them becasue of dust?

I did not say it was a big deal. I agree that it is not and big deal.

What I do see is "others" getting HOT over just mentioning that there is dust under their screen. Never fails to produce the exact same results! LOL!

I'm sure there are curve devices out there without the dust/loose right side problem. I exchanged my Curve 2 times because of this. Dust started again on the 3rd device, so I bought an 8820. I missed the Curve form factor so I started using it again (regardless of the dust/loose right side). I went ahead and did a warranty exchange. I must say, the Curve they gave me is SOLID. So much more than the previous 3 I had. In particlular, the right side is not loose at all (which is what I think caused the dust). Time will tell.

Now, unless you want to fly your inflammatory butt over here and point to the dust in a microscope, don't purport that "everyone has this problem" because as many have mentioned, we do not. I'm sorry that you do and have these problems, but there's a lot of us who are just fine.
Your image would not show the the dust.

You need to remain calm. Why get SO upset because someone you do not even know says you got dust under your screen. Check your blood pressure!

"troll baiting them" if I were you fell hard!

You need to stop being a troll, you sit here and play it off like you're not but I see you do this sh*t over on Hofo as well. I'm done with you, another add to my ignore list. You really are quite two-faced with your incitement then "oh it's not my fault" approach to things, I'm quite glad we don't know each other in real life.

I agree 100%. I have a friend who has zero dust even when I check it with a small red laser. I went back to the curve for the features and the dust causes me no problems. The 8310 is still my favorite for features though I use my 8820 a good bit, too!

Just for the record, my 1 month old red 8310 has a lot of dust in the upper right region, but only visible when the screen is off. I carry it in my pocket 70% of the time. Not a concern yet, but, could be in the future.

It does appear to depend on where the device was manufactured?

I had an 8300 which had lots of dust on the right hand side of the screen, replaced under warranty with one made in canada - not a speck after months of usage!

Just moved across to Vodafone with an 8310, and within 2 days got dust appearing on the right hand side...

I need to get this one replaced with an 8310 made in canada!!!

I don't think manufacture location is the answer. My previous 8300, as well as my current 8310 were both made in Mexico. I have had absolutely no dust issues on either.

Same, dust on the right side for me, and it's about 1-2mths old. (Made in Hungary, sold by Singapore telco.)
It's always in my linty pants pocket though. naked.

And while we're all being obsessive, the silver paint is flaking off the top row of buttons...

After awhile, you get use to the dust. I'll be keeping my curve till the buttons fall off.

Oh well, I've had my 8310 for about a month now and I already have dust!! I first noticed it today when I was in bright sunlight. I guess I'll live with it unless it continues to get worse.

All I know is that any dust obsessed BB users out there who feel compelled to remove dust come on over to my house. Free theraputec dust removal--plenty of dust to go around!

Has anyone successfully returned the Curve to AT&T for this problem? The dust on my screen is BAD, visible even when the screen is on. I talked to people at the AT&T store and they said I could exchange it for a refurbished model, but I really don't want to do that. I want to get an 8310 out of this.
