why not Tmo? they have a wi-fi berry and with their purchase of suncom they will at least get the 8120 then, if not release it on their own before it.

I'm sure it'll work on any carrier when it's released. I did talk to someone at SlingMedia and they said they haven't announced any release date other than it will be this year. If I hear more from them I'll post it. For now, it's still just "in the works."

I have been on 3 of their betas and I am sure that it will work on all carriers if you have a data plan. Granted EDGE won't stream as nice as EVDO, but it will work..... but I am just guessing.

I don't see any reason that TMobile would be excluded... Granted EDGE isnt the fasted network but they now have WiFi devices available which should be more than sufficient...

Side Note: I cant wait for this to be released. I just got a SlingBox as a Christmas present and would love to be able to use it with my BB.

100-400kbps (usually closer to the lower end) of streaming video will be painful...wont give you much of a chance to buffer the video

I can use my BB to tether and Sling and it's decent...a little choppy. I would think with the small display of the BB that it would be possible and not too bad. Obviously, EVDO or WiFi would be preferable. My biggest concern will be how it handles memory.

Do you think that the slingClient will be limited to devices that have the 4.3 OS?

I would say probably at first. i think they will develope for the new technology before supporting the old. and i have signed up hopefully they will contact me for a beta. i can safely say i probably have access to more different devices than most people they will see lol

It's very likely that Sling Player for BB will require 4.3 as 4.2 doesn't support any streaming video.
