Desktop Software Manager should get them into your Blackberry. OTA downloads are the easiest, but if they're already on your computer Desktop Manager might be the only way.

All I am doing is using device mamager to transfer the thm files into the BB...

Also, can I put them in the memery stick or does it have to go to the phone memory??

I did the battery pull and still nothing...I tried outting the files on the device mem and on the micro sd card and still nothing...

I am puzzled...

Where did you download THM files from?

BB does not read THM files, it reads jad/jar files or alx/cod files... you can convert the THM file to COD and then load it on your BB with application loader using an ALX file.

Usually ppl offer the ALX/COD file, so where did you manage to download THM files?

you can transfer any file to the BB, doesnt mean it will read it.

In order for you to install with application loader, the program only reads ALX files, and the alx file roots to the COD file and installs the app on your BB.

Similar with java files, but the program is installed with the BB where the JAD files points to the JAR file and installs the program on the BB.

To convert THM to COD (the program will also make the ALX file) you can use Plazmic Theme Builder its the THM reader to edit themes for the BB, but to run Plazmic you need a whole lot of other requirements. Simply google plazmic and you will get all the info on their homepage.

Well I think I may have found the problem. a thm file or whatever.thm is not a theme it is a thumbnail file, or picture/movie files. from here: ImpulseAdventure - What are THM files?
Hope this helps. If I am wrong give us an example of where you downloaded these files from. The link would be great.

One more thing. If it is a picture all you have to do to view it is go to media, click bb button and click explore. They should me in your media card

did you downloaded the theme via OTA to your PC? one thing you can do is right click the link and send it to your phone via an e-mail, then open on your phone there you can install it form your phone via the link.

Simply put, what you downloaded is not a BlackBerry theme file and can not be converted into one because it is, as hrddrv pointed out, a thumbnail file.

So marcelcano, the first thing you need to do is delete the files you have and download some real BlackBerry themes for your device. Themes for starters are device/model specific; you can not install a theme created for the Pearl (81xx series) on your Curve (83xx series).

Start by looking here Media Center - BlackBerryForums.com : Your Number One BlackBerry Community for themes for your Curve (83xx series). There a couple of different ways to install these themes once you find one that you like and you will find all the information you need to guide you through the process here -> BlackBerry FAQ - BlackBerryFAQ

The BlackBerry Faq site has an enormous wealth of knowledge on everything BlackBerry.

If you still find you need some guidance, just sing out. The knowledge base in the members of this great forum is equally amazing. You'd be hard pressed to find a problem or situation that someone here (or the Faq site) can't resolve.

Good Luck and enjoy!

Default Plazmic files

What you have downloaded is a theme file created by Plazmic Theme Builder as was previously stated. I use this program often. The program is free on their site along with the other blackberry programs listed on their site. Once the file is opened it has to be exported into an ALX file which can then be added to the blackberry via desktop manager.
