Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8800/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

I could be wrong but I thought 8700 would see 4.3 then nothing after that or was it 4.2 as the last update hmmmmmm off to search

The 8700 will receive an update to OS 4.3.1 here shortly, although that will be the last of the major updates for it. It will not be supported for OS 4.3.2 and above, from what I've heard.

Bring on those screen shots.

I'll believe 4.3 on the 8700 when I see it.

I can't really see what the 8700 series would gain. With no media player or camera the improvements would/will be minimal at best

8700 is nearing end of life now I think (if not there already). I would be surprised to see any new developments on it at this stage.

The application Labeled "Media" is not a media player. You can play your ringtones and view pictures. That's it

Ok. My bad.

Either way, When I decided upon the 8700g, I was really banking on getting the new update. Come on RIM let's have it!@

The 8700 doesn't have a microSD card. What sort of media can you load into the free space left in the 64MB inside the BB!

Afaik 4.3 will be the latest OS update. I'll upgrade it to a 3g bb.

Would be nice to see some screenshots. I agree after the last supported update, it will be time for a 3G BB or move to a Curve when everyone starts to dump theirs for the next new thing!
