As much as I look forward to 4.3 I realize it'll be out when it's out and checking every 5 mins won't make it come out sooner.

However my concern is if when it finally does, will it be available to the general public, or will carriers sit on it to increase sales? I remember when a firmware upgrade for my Motorola v3 that enabled video recording finally came out, my carrier didn't made it available, instead they advertised upgraded units as the new v3 and jacked up the prices on them.
What do you guys think?

i doubt this will happen to every carrier in the world. it will increase sales of existing units if they release it on time. again provided that the rumors of 4.3.1 are true and that it will include video recording.

4.3 has been rumored for a few months now... first it was set for a late 2007 release and now has been pushed to May? Last word I heard was sometime 'early' first quarter, then again that was on the Internet where anything is possible!

I'm sure it will be available to the public, if not straight through Blackberry or on the forums, I'm sure you will be able to find it on a torrent somewhere.

I have seen some video's online of the 4.3 beta, anyone out there have a copy of this? I've done some searching but haven't found anything yet...
