Default Interesting happening

Just wondered if anyone has seen this. BB 8800 on ATT. Was in the car this afternoon. Email had just come in and then all of a sudden the BB rebooted. Took a few minutes to boot and then went directly to edge. After a few minutes it went to EDGE and all was well. Been working fine since.

I assume this is just out of the ordinary as it has never happened to me before.

I would FREAK out if my device did this.... That's weird. I really hope that it was a one time glitch!

Whoa!! This almost smacks of a Windows Based device functionality!!!

Actually it's could be panned off as a "Auto Memory Reclaim Function"! :P

I like that! Instead of your calls logs and SMS deleting it should just reboot at say 14.5MB

At least we wouldn't be getting carpal tunnel syndrome pasting the links from the FAQs on Freeing memory!

Yeah, thankfully, my Curve 8300 has only rebooted itself once, maybe twice. In both cases though, I was fooling around with installing and uninstalling and tinkering a whole lot. During normal operations like a new e-mail arriving, I've never had that happen. I would investigate a possible short with the battery connection, or other hardware related issue. In either case you should probably get it replaced under warranty.
