This is totally subjective as they have basically the same primary functionality!

All depends on what ya want!

I carry a pearl and an 8800

Will likely get a curve before long

If you like the Curve better than I'd say go get one. You won't find one on Verizon (or any other CDMA carrier,) though.

I switched from a pearl to the curve and I love it, basically the same phone except for a full keyboard and some other different screens in the options menu but overall I would get the curve, love the built in gps too.

I use verizon and just got an 8830. The pearl looked really nice, but I'm a 47 year geezer and need a full keyboard - I find it easier on the eyes and easier to type on. If you're a young dude and like the pearl, I say stick with it.

Well I'm a 48 year-old geezer and love Suretype!! Won't ever go QWERTY again...

Verizon is going to get a CDMA Curve in the next month or so if you believe the very hot rumors being passed around at Howard Forums...

the pearl 8130 buttons are actually larger than any other blackberry buttons in recent production. It also is the newest in general circulation in the US or Canada (the only newer device is the 8120 with Suncom, it is just like the 8130 but has EDGE instead of EVDO, and includes WIFI instead of GPS). It has full video recording, voice recording feature (both up to the limit of the external memory card), side loading media card, etc

No curve, but why does everyone want the curve? The pearl 2 does all and more, and has larger buttons. I have all the devices and type just as much on the pearl as the curve

I just recently purchased my Pearl and went through the process of choosing between the Curve and Pearl. My decision was finally made by the fact that I like Verizon's coverage and I prefer a smaller device. Most of my friends that have the Curve or other BB devices are extremely impressed by the compact size of the Pearl. I haven't had any problem with the keyboard either.

if money os no issue then i would get the 88XX i dont care much for a cam but the 8800 just feels better in your hand little wider then the 8300 and weight is a little more but its a solid blackberry. i also have the 8300 as my backup blackberry should anything happen to my 8800.
