Default its a brick...oh no...expensive one at that. cant connect to DM

Please Login to Remove!

i was doing some memory optimization and deleted too many COD files and had no themes left to me... gassssssp. :(

i was reloading the handheld software when the device fell off the chair, disconnecting from the usb cable during HH SW install and now its a pretty brick. DM wont find the device when i try to reload the HH SW and i know there is a sequence you have to do ..such as remove the battery, connect device to pc at a certain time, etc...or something like that..

make sense?

thanks in advance

Me either as I'm in a hotel where there is little bandwidth left and everything is very slow.

This happens now and then. You will have lost your 3rd party apps, though. That's why I do this: (every time I upgrade.)

i am good...for some reason, might be my 5 hour flight this afternoon, i brainfarted and freaked on how to get my HH SW back...thank goodness for you guys

this should do the trick and i will play with the memory optimization again tomorrow....the procedure you outlined worked great and i had 31MB of memory left, but deleted a COD file i needed and it didnt make the phone so pretty and the rest is outlined above.....

thanks again

Sounds like you removed a theme that was in use at the time. When this happens you get a black and white theme that is the basic OS theme. You can usually just navigate to the swiss army knife icon (options) and go to themes and select another theme. it doesn't usually require an OS reload.

I don't recommend removing any theme .cod's except the vendor coded ones. Leave all the dimension/zen themes. That's in the post above.
