I've found SUPER to bet the best as well. I've tried a number of the other "easy" converters, along with manual attempts using mencode on my own.
SUPER takes a little bit of time to play with the user interface, but once you get the hang of where to output files, and how to change options, you can find tune it, save the settings and be done.
Just drag files over (as many as you want), then convert them.
One note on the video bitrate. I think 576 is a little overkill for the BB, and RIM's site notes that 400kbps is the optimum rate (though it can play higher rates). When I have a high quality source, I have found 384kbps to be acceptable.
