I am currently using the Blackberry Video Converter, which works fine but can only convert one file at a time.

Any suggestions on programs to batch convert?

I am using Super. It allows you to encode multiple files at once and is pretty simple.

What settings are you using for Super? I can never get the codecs right for the Curve. I use Super for my iPod and love the batch encoding and would love to get it working for the Curve...thx

handbrake is very good and lets you batch encode video through their queque feature.

SUPER is the best I've used so far, lots of other converters have problems converting large video files, after the conversion the video and audio are all out of sync, but SUPER never had this problem.

The video settings I use for my 8320 is, 320:240, 4:3 aspect, 25fps at 528 kbps.

On the Mac, Vhub lets you batch encode as many files as your hard drive can handle at once.

I've found SUPER to bet the best as well. I've tried a number of the other "easy" converters, along with manual attempts using mencode on my own.

SUPER takes a little bit of time to play with the user interface, but once you get the hang of where to output files, and how to change options, you can find tune it, save the settings and be done.

Just drag files over (as many as you want), then convert them.

One note on the video bitrate. I think 576 is a little overkill for the BB, and RIM's site notes that 400kbps is the optimum rate (though it can play higher rates). When I have a high quality source, I have found 384kbps to be acceptable.
