Depending on what carrier your BlackBerry is locked to turn around time can be longer but that's long wait considering it's now January 16th!!
And it works fine... tks

Ok, I know this is a stupid question and im 99% sure I know the correct one, but I dont want to make a mistake and waste $20. I have my service through t-mobile and I just bought a 8310 from at&t. When I go to Adam to get the unlock code, I click the at&t blackberries, not the t-mo ones, correct? I read the website but just want to be positive.

Thanks

Yes, you are unlocking an AT&T BB...

I sent the e-mail on thursday at 4:45 p.m. and by 10:30 a.m. Friday the unlock code was sent. Worked perfect. I was a little skeptical because I am on most things online. But it worked flawlessly. Thanks Adam.

Question Sorry i still dont get it

Ok I know i've seen this question posted before, but with variations

I have a Tmo curve, i want to use it on verizon,

i know verizon uses cdma and tmo, somethin else (GSM?),

I also understand if i get the tmo unlocked i cant use it on veriz for data, but what about just for voice?

I already have two lines on veriz (work and personal) and jus wanted to use the curve for one or the other ( i was on my boyfriends tmo acct, we broke up but im IN LOVE with my gold curve, I even bought a gold sony vaio, yes to match, so I hate boxing up the curve)

Couldnt i at least jus use it as an extra voice line on verz?

Nope, you can't. Too bad, though.

And, welcome to the Forums.

Sorry! jsanders is 100% correct. GSM as used by either AT&T or T-Mobile is completely incompatible with Verizon's CDMA network. No voice, no data, no nothing. I read somewhere that the 83xx series model is coming to Verizon in March timeframe - not 100% sure, but you should probably keep your eyes peeled to the VZW site or fan sites for details!

A question regarding unlocking.
If I buy a 8320 locked to T-Mo. I get the unlocking code.
Do I need to have a valid Tmo Sim inside while unlocking?

There was only one very old model of BlackBerry, of which I can't remember the model number, which required a SIM in while unlocking.

I unlocked my AT&T Curve 8300 with no SIM installed, rebooted and stuck my T-Mobile SIM in and was golden immediately. I don't see any reason why this would be different on the T-Mobile 8320.

yeah well... 2 weeks ago i ordered the internation unlock service from adam after he told me that my imei's code was not in the att database. so.. 4 days ago i used my friends account to call at&t to get an unlock code.. lo and behold.. only 3 days i get an unlock code with instructions. after i unlocked my phone i requested a refund from adam. he said it couldnt be done. which i understand because i requested it 2 weeks later lol... but anyways why couldnt he find my code in the database when at&t had the code. and they use the same database.. anyways this is not to knock adams service.. well maybe a little. but if you need an unlock code.. i suggest you just find a friend with the carrier of the phone you're trying to unlock and just call the company for a code.

Different carriers and unlockers DO use different databases. I don't know who said they all use the same, but wrong-o.

I don't understand why you couldn't get a refund from Adam when you were told he could not unlock it. I thought that was routine, maybe not? Too bad, I figured he would, and yes that doesn't sound like a good business practice.

I'm guessing a refund is when he couldn't find an unlock code?
