Default so i got the red 8830 today!

Please Login to Remove!

and its nice! i know one of you asked about the baklight on the keys i havent been in the dark yet to see but, instead of it having the blue back light. the back light its white like the track ball. i can already tell its easier to read in the light. i havent tried anything with the volume yet as i have to wait for the battery from my old 8830 to charge up. it was down to 5% lol but it looks like a nice combo the red with the white back light.

Nothing like a banana and Marlboro Light in the morning.

Looks good, I may have to switch to this one if the keypad is better in the dark, which it looks like it will be.

ringer volume is the same, i tried a couple ring tones. and if you play them at the exact same time it sounds like have surround sound. kinda neat if u time them right.

I think anything is better than that silver.
I love the look of my black Alltel 8830.
I must say, red would look good in the Husker Nation!

That's pretty cool looking. I assume the real color is more the darker red like in the last picture? Some pics I have seen make it look a tad pinkish. Definitely don't want that.

You should take a picture of both with the lights off and no flash, so we can really see the keyboard.

Yup, phone is darker red like in the last pic.its a nice color I do have to say. The keys are so much easier to see at night. I was texting tonight with it and its a major difference. It also feels like the build quality is a little higher. It doesent seem like the silver 8830 does no squeaks or anything but that could be because its new. The keys even feel better texting with it. Also could be because its new.

So it IS easier to see at night? I honestly do not have an issue with mine at night, but during the day or worse yet when I have my driving glasses on, they are polarized and I cannot see crap with those one and this silver light blue combo.

I am going to go to Circuit City tonight and hit the verizon rep up to check out a red one....

My only concern is it's corporate appeal. I mean does this look like I should be going to a club or a boardroom..The Silver has a stately quality to it lol...

Hey Bridgecard, when you get a chance can you take some pics of your new red 8830 with the keys lit up in the dark without using the flash on your camera? We'd all like to see how the keys light up in the dark.

thanks!
