Default "My Number:" is incorrect

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all,
The "My Number:" field is displaying an incorrect mobile number and I am unsure how to change this to the correct number.
The device that I have is a 7250 and is a corporate phone on some sort of corporate plan. The other member of my team has the same problem with the same "wrong" mobile number specified on his phone too.
Any thoughts on how to fix?
Thanks all.
Shanem.

First, I would go and talk to the Admin of your system since you say they are (some sort of corporate plan) phones. That is where I would start.

Actually, you will need to contact your carrier to have them send you an Over-The-Air activation to program you correct number into your SIM Card.. You can sometimes achieve this by on your device going to Options | SIM Card and Edit the SIM Phone Number.. I WOULDN'T SUGGEST DOING IT MANUALLY THOUGHT!!

the number, does it end in 111?
CDMA devices have a number pre-programmed into them in order for them to be able to be activated on the network by the carrier.
Most mobile phones pick up their correct number from the network usually after making the first phone call.
The 7250 doesn't seem to do this and may be an oversight by either the CDMA component makers, Qualcomm, or RIM to not allow this to happen.

Until a possible software upgrade is available to fix it, I suggest you go into the phone options and turn off show my number.
Phone => (wheel)Options => General Options =>
Scroll down, select Show My Number field and Change Option to No
