I have this little problem. I can't figure out why this is happening but when I get a text message it shows the little red star next to the icon but when I get an email I get the little notification on the top of the screen but by the icon I have no little star. What is the issue with this?

BIS or BES? also which email, on some versions of the OS yahoo does not indicate a new message on the yahoo branded icon.

Hmmmm... I think you might have to get *drastic* and try a battery pull and then test. Mine does this every now and then and it solves it.

Running BIS 4.2.1.79 and its gmail.

I did a battery pull which was the first thing I thought about but that didn't work so that is why I came to here to ask.

Try switching themes and then switch back? Sorry about the battery pull suggestion but you didn't state that you had tried that already.

I know I didn't state that in the earlier post because I just overlook that when I post because thats the first thing that I do. I tried other themes and still doesn't work!

If you haven't alread done so I would try resending the service books. Mine just quirks out once and a while this is strange.
