After reading through loads of posts it seems that if the icons on the BB are hidden, other strange things start to happen, or don't in some cases.

Also if the theme is changed errors start appearing.

Is this just co-incidence as I've done both the above and now things don't work as before.
A lot of posts have indicated this or am I still looking for a fix to my java/Tom Tom problem when there isn't one.

Just a thought, I get scared to change anything on my BB now in case everything goes wrong.

Why can't there be courses in the UK for BB novices, you Americans/Canadians seem to have been using the BBs forever and know everything

Hiding icons and changing themes should not be affecting other applications at all.

If I'm perfectly honest, it sounds like you have a general JVM software issue on your device.

As said before changing the theme shouldn't cause the issues your experiencing.

the only time you should be having issues with themes is when you switch to a different one and you wouldn't have the same icon arrangement anymore; you have to rearrange again

Yes I do seem to have a general JVM software issue, but I don't know how to resolve it, have tried many things after asking various questions and am probably just working through a list of 'what ifs'.........

Well thats one more off the list..........what now? some one else must have had the same problems............
