Default Im Dumb!!!

Please Login to Remove!

So I'm new to the world of blackberrys however i do love. Service provider is Nextel, and phone is 7520.
My ? is, and it a dumb one. Do you have to pay for the entire email and web service for the 35$ or whatever in order for g.p.s to work? The reason this slightly confuses me is that if you visit this link: http://nextelonline.nextel.com/en/se.../telenav.shtml , you will see that they offer 2 different g.p.s options and both are regarding telenav which i do want to use. One of the options appears to be limited yet is still offered at same price. All i really need is the g.p.s, so if they limit the net to strictly g.p.s for 10$ a month im kewl with that. Im not really stupid, but that seems like it is an alternative option maybe. Anyone have an answer?
Thanks Much, Dustin

I have 3 7520's and all three have the TeleNav Unlimited, along with the Unlimited Data Plan. They don't limit your usage of the web or email. From what I understood, the limited plan allows you to only plan a limited amount of trips, with this being said, if you plan a route, then change it, they count it as another trip. For example, if they only give you 10 trips a month, then you plan a route, but the route changes, now you have two trips even though you are on the same trip The TeleNav Unlimited allows you to plan all the trips that you need or want and also allows you to change them. And right now, until the end of August they are running TeleNav Unlimited for the same price as the limited version, so I would get that one and play with TeleNav and find out how much you will actally be using it. Hope this helps you some.

You can pin me if you have questions about TeleNav!

When I ordered telenav I read that you must have some type of data package.

no must have data plan you are going to have to have a data plan on the nextel no matter what no way around it. They require it for all nextel bbs. I am telling you that you better go with the unlimited or you are going to be hit so hard on data charges

apparently not, i spoke with a friend who owns a cell phone store, as well as calling Nextel directly to verify. You can get the one with 10 routes for the 9.99$ WITH A 1/2, and at .01kb when/if you go over for strictly telnav

one more reason to switch to T-mobile. their plans are completely independent of the voice plans and it never disturbs your contract if you drop the data plan .. i have phone with AT&T but can not afford the BS about plans

T mobile doenst have direct connect so thats not a reason to switch to tmobile.

but back to the question at hand you must have a data plan if you dont have one they will put one on and they wont put the most expensive one either they will put the 3 mb plan and you will go over it very quickly its been posted on these forums many times about very very high bills. My co worker bought one from ebay from a nextel dealer they forgot to put the unlimited on there for him he had a 600 dollar bill after one month. the just put the 3mb plan on and he was using it like crazy. So do what you want but take it form the people who have already been through it if you can afford to pay those kind of bills go right ahead. If you bought a BB and want to be Cheap you bought the wrong phone.
