Hi All! I just registered but I've lurked in the past. I've never had to post a question as the search function usually works well for me.

I've got myself in a bit of a situation. We had a mail server crash for a small company that does not have the CAL's for their SBS BES. I have access to the old RIM database and wondered if there is a way to recover the CAL keys from there.

Any thoughts?

It was SBS. I have all access to all the old data, but it's a hard disk from a working server. I still have all my installation information (SRP #, SRP ID, etc). Can I call RIM or will they charge me $250?

I scanned all the log files for bescal and the only thing it came up with is 1 log file with the bescal you get free on installation.

Any thoughts?

If you are able to copy the Database File from the drive to another server, Attach the DB File to SQL with Entperise Manager, Open the Manager, from there expand the Databases Folder, then Expand the BESMgmt DB. Highlight the Tables and scroll down to the License table. Right click this and return all rows. It will list all your CAL's.
