Default call waiting buggy?

Please Login to Remove!

Just wondering if this is my individual phone or if this is a systemic issue.

I work with very high call volume so my call log is extremely important to me. Today was my first day working on the Pearl and it went OK.... it had a few moments where I just could not move fast enough on it but the one major issue is that if I get a second call I pick it up to let them know I will ring them back, when I hang up the second call number is the one that stays registered on my phone while I am on the call.

Normally the second call registers on the screen and when you hang up the first one is the one that is visable. This gets mighty confusing when you get 60-80 calls a day. Is this something that any of you have seen or is it just my phone? Suggestions?

Many thanks
Kalinka

I have the same phone and the same issue. It bugs me a little, but I've become accustomed to it. Of course I don't get as many calls per day as you do...

I have the 8830 and mine has always done that. On a call, pick up call waiting, go back to first call and the second caller info stays on the display. The easiest way to tell who I'm talking to is to listen to the person talking.

OK well I suppose that I shall not go and pitch a fit over it. I have to tell you changing devices from a regular phone is enough to give you a heart attack on a busy day. I hung up on people, called the wrong number back, dialed people in my pocket, freaked out trying to sort out the missed calls from the dialed calls from the recieved calls. I drank WAY too much coffee this morning. But overall I am pleased with this little thing.

Not to bad on the battery drain. The blue tooth sucks up charge fast but if i get a desk charger its easy enough to pop a new battery in.

Thanks for the feedback. The little search option in this forum was a real help in researching and figuring out what I was doing.

Thanks a million

Oh yay! So tell me about this patch. Is this something that will automatically go to the phone or is it something that needs to be downloaded. Would it be helpful if more people emailed RIM and suggest that?

first it would come in the form of a patch that has to be downloaded. second yes the more ppl that call email them at [email address] the more chance there is that they will see this bothers their customers and they will make a quick fix
