Glad I asked. You don't need MDS Services for any of these. Look through the
BlackBerry IT Policy Reference Guide ... to see what you can / cannot block. MDS Services is responsible for managing communication of behind the firewall applications. IMHO, RIM did a big no no with their naming and it only confuses situations (like this one) ... don't worry, you're not the first to get confused by it (I was too). Check out more on
