I am just curious to know if the latest software has resolved the following issues:

1) Call log and text message delete without warning. Now, I know that this can potentially be prevented by clearing memory, but just curious to know if it has been resolved.

2) Option to mute key tones.

These are not major issues. But something I really wish they would fix in the next OS or Pearl II. My $30 Nokia has none of the above issues...

1. It's not a problem that needs to be fixed. The BlackBerry is doing what it's supposed to do.

2. No option to do this.

To echo Penguin. Deleting the call logs and texts is not an issue. That is be design to address the lack of memory and to protect the most critical data. What they need to address is the memory leak created by the application switcher and I do not know if it's solved in this release or not.

I understand that the Pearl deletes these items to conserve memory and critical data. However, does it need to erase the WHOLE log and texts? How hard would it be to erase all but 20 call logs and texts? I don't know about the rest of you, but my weekly clearing of the memory (from the link above) still resulted in erased call logs and texts. Granted, it didn't happen as often, but still did occur.
