I am employed in the government environment which means we may from time to time hire employees without common sense.

I this case we have a temporary grant so we are contract hiring seven employees who will need to receive calls, but only make calls to certain phone numbers. Their supervisor wants to stop a problem before it rears its ugly head and limit the phones ability to only call 911 (of course) and a small assortment of other numbers.

I would love to be able to create a group/policy just for these user with the restrictions in place. We have about 15 7290's and 11 8700s laying around doing nothing anyway. Is this possible?

I know you are seeking a technical answer.
However, why don't you just charge the employee for those outside calls?

I don't believe there is a way to do what you need with the BES. You can either block all phone calls or not block them.

You can log the calls, though, for auditing purposes and as akosnitzy stated charge them for the calls they were not supposed to make/take.

I would see blocking certain numbers as practical.

this raises the question, should u be able to change what number the emergency number on lock screen calls?

Thought about charging for those calls, but that would fall on IT which will ultimately end up being an issue I can't even speak about here because of a dumb comment I made in the opening of this thread.

So I would like to avoid the issue all together by leaving 911 alone (can't mess with that anyway) and only allowing certain outbound calls. I am attempting to think for our people so they don't have to. Kind of like the government does anyway.
