yahoo has been slow for many users for weeks now. not sure what the root cause is. I get mine within seconds of it hitting my inbox, though the reconcile is very slow now.

I had another problem with yahoo, everytime i would send an email from my yahoo account, it would come back with a red X and it would say "message included an invalid address" where the message status line is...I hope it is nothing to do with what I heard about yahoo merging in with POS AOL!!

I think Yahoo has been plagued with email problems lately. Where I had been noticing it was with Outlook - password prompts etc., failure to send. But that is working again. Hopefully they will have the Blackberry problems you are experiencing worked out soon as well.

Have you tried resending service books? I just ran a test to my yahoo account, and got it on the Blackberry about 10 seconds after it was sent.

Are the same emails that are coming in slowly to the Blackberry arriving quickly if you use mail.yahoo.com on the computer? IOW are they getting to your yahoo mail quickly, just not to the Blackberry?

yep, yahoo is the culprit..I tried the resend service books, from BIS and the phone itself, I also did the battery pull, I deleted the accounts and recreated them, pretty much everything that would and could be done to fix it...but it is still freakishly slow. I also have the upgraded package with yahoo.

Ditto to the above responses. Yahoo has been driving me crazy for the past week.

Just a thought, I noticed it started slowing down around the time they released their "Zimbra" desk top email program. Could be slowing down the system???

Zimbra offers Open Source email server software and shared calendar for Linux and the Mac

Yes, as I said mine are coming in immediately. But it sounds like you shouldn't be complaining on a Blackberry forum. This is probably a Yahoo issue for you as it sounds like you would have the delay using Outlook as well. I have had this problem before with Outlook/web based Yahoo mail, but at this time it is working normally for me. I am also a paid Yahoo email subscriber.

I would log in to your Yahoo account on your computer, and find the area where you can do a live chat with tech support. I did that a couple of weeks ago when I was having problems with Outlook. It took a long time before an agent was available for the live chat, but once one was available, he/she confirmed that Yahoo was having issues and those would clear up on their own and that I was doing nothing wrong.
