this may have been posted b4 but I hope I can get some help...I want to tackle theme designs for the BB....I'm downloading Plazmic....can I have some guidance from the pros and others as to what I need. Thanks in advance

For starters you will need to download Blackberry JDE (Java Developement Environment)and a Java Developement Kit. Both are free. There are many Java Developement Kits that will suffice. I recommend J2SE devlopement kit 5.0 update 14 and Blackberry JDE 4.2.0.

ok well I have downloaded the software and tried just creating a test theme. loaded it with destop manager but it does not show up in my list... any ideas.....
Problem solved I think...I was exporting for 4.2...forgot that I never went through with the upgrade as I did not see the benefits.
