is there a known bluetooth issue with the curve 8310 or any other model? ive read threads about putting a piece of paper behind the sim card and what not but it seems the problem stops when i turn bluetooth off. anyone else expierencing this? the problem seems to only occur when im using a bluetooth headset.

i got the problem the other day when i dropped my phone. i think thats the only time its happened to me.

I'm not experiencing this on pearl like you say, but I sometimes get this error when switching sims (dual sim adapter).
I believe that is related to one of the sim cards, cause it only happends to one of them.
My workarround is to hold red button for 5 sec to hibernate the phone, power on again and it back on.

It will be a heat/voltage issue if your blutooth affects it. SIM's run at a certain voltage, but some newer ones run at lower ones. If you have an old sim, and then broadcasting a bluetooth signal knocks the voltage down that could cause it. Alternativly it could be that the bluetooth radiation causes the phone to heat up so much the sim holder warps slightly.

I'd make sure you have a brand new sim and go from there.

It happens on lots of devices, not just bb's. Old SIMS don't like new phones because of the voltage thing!!

Thats what all the new networks use, they all should be backward compatible with old phones,however new phones have been re-designed to take up the features on the new USIMS. This means that they don't work as well on old SIMS.

The new sims are no better. I got my 8320 replaced and sim replaced and still have the issue

I find it almost always happens after jarring your phone (like a short drop)

I haven't been able to link bluetooth to the issue but what a pain to keep BT off all day until you need it if that is the work-around.

Bringing this from the dead. My phone did this this morning. Didn't drop it or anything. It was just sitting on my desk. I woke up and it read "sos". I am using the SIM card that was in my Pearl that I purchased in Nov 2006. Is this the problem?
