I imagine it is as great as the Alltel Curve (got it last week), and I highly recommend the upgrade.
The 8830 was nice, but the curve is the best.

I have had the unlimited plan for about a month. The plan is worth it if you have BES and Navigation. It is almost a waste of money to buy most other plans.

Upgrade over the phone
I have an account with 10 months left on my contract. The web site would not give me a reasonable upgrade path to the Curve. I telephoned in and got an upgrade option from 8703 to 8330 for $179.00 with a 2 yr contract. I recommend calling in for then device vs. purchase via the Sprint web site.

I notice the one on the web site is the silver color. Wasn't Sprint releasing a black (or black-ish) device?

Same here. If my local UPS Customer Service Center was open on Saturdays, I'd be making this post from my new 8330 as it's already there. Guess I'll be calling and telling them to hold at location so I can pick it up myself Monday morning. Yay! for the impatient people!!

The 8330 is NOT a Worldphone.
If you never travel overseas and want the camera and slightly smaller size, go for it!

Since I dont travel overseas, the upgrade was more than worth it from the 8830.
I had to pay full price, but as soon as I got my Curve, I realized it was worth it.
The Curve fits in the hand better, and I do love the camera and video (voice notes is a nice touch too).
Overall hands down better than my 8830.
