I don't think there is a .28 as the .18 version I found states that it is rel28.

It's currently restoring the device data. Being that I didn't experience any problems with .10, I'm not expecting any surprises.

The Media Card capacity supported is controlled by the OS, anything 4.3 and higher will support 8 gb, and 4.5+ will support 16gb+ (although hard to test since16gb size cards are not readily available).

Who ever stated that ANY of the beta software is "stable"\, or was intended to be stable?

Its intended purpose is to test functions of the hardware with new OS code.

You know the old adage about sometimes one must get it wrong first, in order to get it right in the long run. How would RIM ever test new features unless they first actually tested it? The problem is--you and several thousand other users now got the beta and moan about how UNstable it is.

They need to realize that "THIS IS A BETA OS" hence the word BETA! Just note the issues and either deal with them, try to find solutions, or downgrade back to a stable OS; but please stop the crying about the BETA OS. It's a great change to have on my phone, yes it's a little buggy, but me personally, I can deal with it.

I have had .18 for a while...nothing really bad to complain about. There are some bugs but nothing to want me to downgrade.

I never had any complaints about the .18 too on my 8310 cept for memory leakage....so I reverted to good ole 4.2 till the official version comes out.

WES starts tomorrow where the new Blackberry "Bold" 9000 running 4.6? is to be announced. Where is the 4.5 software official release for current units??
They will loose a LOT of early adopters very soon to the enterprise capable iPhone 2 if they don't pacify current users of Curves with Video recording etc-SOON!

Once again its better to release a stable OS than to rush it out to placate those on the net

.48 is legit... It will be out this week. I am currently running .28, which is a MAJOR improvement over the previous two versions. Running much faster, no dropouts..
