I need some help regarding installing applications. Ive downloaded an application that conisists of many files (.jad, .cod, .alx, .csl and .cso). But when I use the application loader, it just searches for files with the extension .alx or .ali.

When I install an application, do I install all the files or just the ones with the extension, .alx or .ali?

Just install the .alx. The .alx file tells Desktop Manager to load the assoiciated .cod file. make sure that the .alx and .cod files are in the same folder.

what if the only file that came with the application is the .jad file?

That needs to be loaded with the BB's browser. Many times you can load the files to the SD card and then use the "Explore" feature in Media to browse to the .jad/.jar type file and install the app to the device memory.

John, I saw you on the BBWeather thread regarding the fix that was created. That fix was a .Jad file. Is that the only file I need to point my browser to, to load the BBWeather app? I currently do not have BBWeather on my 8330.

Yes, you can download them via your BB's browser.
